Here is Taipei

把炒飯或是肉丸塞在甜椒、蕃茄裡頭下去烤，是歐洲很常見的家常菜之ㄧ。
我吃過法國人做的版本，是把飯跟一些香料(主要是Oregano)炒一炒然後塞在甜椒裡去烤；奧地利人做的版本則是碎牛肉跟香料揉在飯裡再塞到甜椒裡去烤，
重點大概都在香料的運用上。
由於甜椒各式的色彩，加上圓滾滾的形狀，端上桌光是看就很有娛樂的效果。
米其的’甜椒五彩飯’是依照冰箱存貨的奇想，名字也是自己取的，
(五彩有：洋蔥、磨菇、培根、青椒跟甜椒)
主要是想消化掉冰箱過多的甜椒以及讓晚餐桌上多點樂趣!
材料(兩人份)：
甜椒兩大顆(做容器)、青椒及甜椒各約三分之ㄧ顆(作炒料)、磨菇一大顆或兩三小顆、洋蔥一小顆、培根兩片、大蒜兩瓣、烹大師一匙、半杯米或兩碗飯、
作法：
1.烤箱預熱 gas mark4/180C/350F
2.將兩大顆甜椒去頭挖空備用，青椒及另外兩色甜椒、洋蔥、磨菇、培根等切碎備用。
3.大蒜下油鍋爆香後先炒軟洋蔥、煎培根，略孰後再加入青椒及甜椒塊以及磨菇片，最後加入米飯拌炒，加入烹大師調味。(依個人喜好可以加入鹽或醬油)
4.將炒飯塞入事先挖空的甜椒裡，入烤箱烤個20分鐘，到甜椒外表有點皺皺的即可。
這道小菜，由於入烤箱烤過，甜椒的汁都跑到炒飯裡頭，
一口咬下去，有炒飯的鹹還有甜椒的甜，多種蔬菜包在裡頭，更是營養滿點!
簡單好做，宴客大方，有空動手試一試，創作自己的甜椒彩飯吧!
p.s.如果怕表面的飯會被烤得太乾，可以蓋上甜椒蓋喔。。

The silver sword(銀劍)，作者Ian Serraillier，
最早於1956年出版，是英美有名的兒童文學。
講述二次世界大戰期間及結束之際，
一個遭納粹破壞的波蘭家庭，幾個小孩的求生及尋親過程。
老實說，米其討厭驚悚片、不喜歡戰爭片，痛惡世間不平。
但是，這畢竟是一本英國人口裏的’童書’，
所以，儘管有戰爭的無情與殘酷、納粹不平的惡行，
本書重點還是放在了幾個孩子們的尋親過程
以及一路從華沙(波蘭首都)行走到瑞士的奇遇。
在這本書裡，你會看見戰爭的無情是如何拆散幸福家庭，
又是如何讓孩子們急速成長，在險惡的環境下鋌而走險求生存。
而奇蹟般出現的銀劍，雖然只是一把拆信刀，
卻在那樣的時空機緣下，連繫著幾個主人翁，
後來又成為了這些孩子們的信仰中心，冥冥之中帶領他們走向雙親。
在斷垣殘壁的城市中，孩子們夏天就住在森林裡，冬天躲在破瓦礫堆的地下室，沒有筆、沒有紙，孩子們還是依舊前來聽故事、學習、在牆壁上畫畫。
偷竊軍方物資成了男孩們求生、養家的必備本領；
為逃離德國集中營，拉住火車底盤逃生卻被凍成冰柱，最後要人拿斧頭砍才救下來；小男孩Jan對待動物特別有一套，儘管對’人’極度冷淡，對動物們卻仍充滿極度的溫暖與慈悲以及一套特殊的本領。
一本書讀下來，你看見大姐Ruth的智慧與擔當，男孩Edek的堅強與正義感，小女孩Bronia一貫的天真無邪，以及被現實世界折磨地淘氣古怪卻又溫暖善良的Jan.
當然，也不是所有德國人都是納粹或是壞人，
也不是所有軍人都是死板板不通情理，
故事中有許多溫馨的橋段，
在在說明了只要你相信，人性本善，天助自助。
以真實故事為題材所寫的<銀劍>，挾帶著大量的史實及背景，
讓我想到了另一本以法國大革命為背景的兒童文學名著<孤雛淚>(或譯：悲慘世界)以及以二次世界大戰期間經驗為背景的小說。
我們的上一代，在動盪與蕭條之間成長，從戰後衰敗到逐漸興榮，
我們這一代，在冷戰與繁華之間成長，衣食無虞，
或許，有很多的場面，已經是我們所不能夠想像，可能更別說我們的下一代。
然而，透過此書身歷其境地想像那樣的局勢及歲月，
真的會由衷地珍惜起身邊現有的幸福!
不知道台灣有沒有出版中文版，
真應該讓我們的孩子也看看這樣的戰爭文學啊~

^在Oia，有幾個著名的Beach可以去。這裡是步行二十分鐘可達的Katharos Beach.不算大的皪石沙灘，小路下來就是。
有看到一些西方女生光溜溜地做日光浴(圖中遠方)。
這裡沒地方換衣服，還好米其有先見之明，穿了比基尼在衣服裡，帶了little Martin、防曬油、水糧跟書，喔，還有大毛巾，在這裡一呆就是半天喔。。。
這一曬，米其可黑了哩。^到的時候約莫中午時分，人不多，下午的人潮就漸漸增加。米其總是要和Little Martin來張’到此一遊’啊~
海水冰冰涼涼的超舒服，有看到一些人在浮潛，應該還蠻美的。
米其沒有裝備，只有在淺灘玩水而已。
真想不到我還對岸邊一個猶疑的美國佬大喊:’Come on!What are you waiting for?!’ 是清涼的海水、熾烈的陽光讓米其太興奮了嗎?

這是聖島北方的Oia(伊亞)，台灣人喜歡它不是沒有道理。事實上，大家都很喜歡它。儘管觀光開發，但是還僅可能地維持了傳統的風貌，當地的藝廊及珠寶店非常多，很有氣質，又很乾淨的地方。
上圖的拍攝地是伊亞看日落最著名的地方_叫castle，不過沒有城堡。圖中是從castle望過去的風景，有兩座小風車，感覺好浪漫啊~
不過，這裡的觀光客就很多了，整個小廣場早早就有一群人等著看日落，其實，六七點也不算早啦，不過，夏天這裡八九點才日落啊，也怪不得人家了!
我反正也沒好相機，簡單拍一兩張我就找個有日落景觀的餐廳去大啖希臘美食了!
^我在Oia的街上。近處是Oia成群成群白色的建築_大部分是飯店和有名的洞穴屋，遠景是Fira.哇哩，這張米其好胖，不過，卻笑得好開心哩!^在Oia，每一間房子都像是一個故事。這是間藝廊。

雖然在Ancient Thira山上摔壞了相機，
我在千辛萬苦找到了Red Beach之後，還是禁不住買了拋棄式相機爬回去拍照。
我沒有Justin的才情，也不對拋棄式相機抱什麼期望，只徒留個紀念，
沒想到沖洗出來還是那樣令人動容，
決定來這邊貼幾張，看圖說故事，分享我在聖托里尼看到的風景吧!
PS.英國這邊洗照片加製CD，裡頭貼心地分了大檔跟小檔，大的圖檔讓你加印時方便，小的圖檔讓你傳e-mail方便。我這裡貼的圖都是小檔，解析度不是很高。
^上圖為Fira的一家咖啡館。
Fira是聖托里尼島最大的城鎮，位在島的中央部位，呈狹長型延著斷崖延伸，有條沿著海岸線的path，約三小時腳程可以一路走到北方的Oia(伊亞)。
其實Fira最美的地方，不是鄰近巴士站的市中心，而是往北走經過’最有名的教堂景點’的那一段。
圖上那個風車及咖啡館，就是在我我說的那一段路。只可惜我才走了一小段，後來聽當地人說，那一段過去，可是他的私房景點，最愛的Fira呢!

Dear you,
I’m on the top of south middle Santorini, a fairly small lovely village called Pyrgos. This white village is built on a steep hill, with all the houses and churches cuddled together, hardly to find where you’re heading, like a maze, and funny is I do enjoy my ‘lost’ in this maze. With the rings from church bells and donkey in the air, ‘ding ding, dong.’ the sounds with the water running from some household, just like some nice relaxing music.
Unlike other villages or town, it’s so quiet here, and most of the time, I was absolutely alone, with the blue sky, white houses and indescribable mood. An old lady walked out the rusted door and smiled to me, she greeted to me in Greek, like from hundred years ago. Somehow I feel lost, in the space, also in the time.
The top of Pyrgos is a ruined castle, a grand church and a cosy café. After a bit adventure, I sit on the highest part of the ruin; it’s a bit chilly, but with super good view. From here, you almost could see the whole island, bathing in the sunset, so calm and peaceful. Like a Goddess looking from heaven to the human world.
Several kittens came to me earlier, just by the café. Greek kittens are really cute, with their special relaxing and lazy way, they weren’t afraid of me; they came to me, asked for comfort, played hide and seek between my legs and skirt. They also played with my little teddy bear, kept accompany with me in this sunny afternoon, far away from home, and you.
It is a right choice to bring (novel from Japanese writer Murakami,村上春樹) with me. Not only because those main characters were in a small Greek island, also much similar thinking with mine during this trip. The pursuance of life meanings, basic desires, the loneliness due to no one could really reach oneself and alone with the deep blue ocean and sky, away from busy crowded city. It’s somewhere out of our ordinary life so that we could see more ourselves, discover the true feelings hiding in the city jungle.
Many Greek men asked me out or have a drink in the villa where I stay. But I wouldn’t let those aggressive strangers come to my place, even they are very friendly and treat me free wine or Ouzo. One Greek guy said to me:’ You’re… couldn’t say funny, rather cute, in your own way, charming.’ I didn’t reply, but I did appreciate his conclusion to me in such a short time.
Yes, that’s me, in front of you, or being alone, just like a little girl with clear conscience. A true me.
The swimming pool in Villa Manos is beautiful, so I spend quite a lot of time there, get tanned, read the book, and have a splash once in a while.
I wish you were here with me, in every breath taking moment,
very much.

每天早上起來要喝一杯 Yorkshire Tea with milk，
平常日的早餐不是Cereals 就是 Porridge，
為了慶祝假日的到來，早餐要吃培根、煎蛋以及baked bean，
下午固定要休息一下，喝茶吃scone or muffin，
晚上睡覺前則是要一杯冰牛奶配巧克力。
剛開始討厭Marmite的臭味，現在卻覺得香得不得了，
愛上它鹹鹹甜甜別地方找不到的味道。(一種酵母製品，拿來抹吐司的)
從討厭吃羊肉到接受吃羊肉，
從不喜歡sausage roll到每天賣上百根sausage rolls，
從沒有吃零食的習慣到家裡必備洋芋片(crisps)及巧克力，
定期還要吃吃Fish & Chips。
不知道從何時開始變成早餐之後才刷牙，
洗碗都是在泡泡水裡拿起來直接去陰乾，
夏天結束前要去河邊採黑梅做crumble，
冬天時家裡一定要挑炭生火燒壁爐，
從不認識Cheese到天天吃cheese，
晚餐開始不喝湯卻要配酒或汽泡水，
‘Have a drink’變成邀約應酬最常說的話，
說Ta是謝謝，Ta ta 是再見，
用Hiya 打招呼，Aye表示贊同。
開始會叫人pal, 每天跟人說 lovely, brilliant, cheers.
開始知道為什麼 Java cake明明屬於biscuit卻要叫做’cake’，
學會點英式發音及英式英文，培養潛意識裡英式英文的優越感。
會做幾樣英式糕點，也知道英國人對於食物的秘訣：
‘什麼東西不知道怎麼吃，就加奶、加糖!’ (馬田博士說的)
Ex.:
源自東方的Tea (茶)：加奶加糖
蘇格蘭傳統食物Porridge(燕麥)：加奶加糖下去煮
源自中國的Rhubarb (大黃根)：加奶加糖 (做成甜點或是優格)
英國名產Rice pudding(米布丁)：加奶加糖
開始會在重看哈利波特電影時大叫：
原來那個演員是Doctor Who (英國影集)的David Tennant，
然後一路看一路驚嘆自己曾經到過的那些風景。
從不懂英式幽默，到愛看Simon Pegg (Film:< Shaun of the dead>. . . TV: Spaced ), Mitchell & Webb (David Mitchell & Robert Webb，TV: and a lot more).
習慣沒有機車的噪音，習慣半夜有人喝醉酒大聲唱歌或咆嘯，
愛上玩board games，朋友相聚不是要玩’Settlers’就是要玩’Risk’大戰幾回。
開始覺得休假(Take Holiday)是天經地義，休得心安理得，
下班時經理會跟我說謝謝，我會大方回答：不客氣。
開始可以一個人自在地旅行，就算是獨自上餐廳吃飯也自得其樂。
從英文童書開始看起，到自己去charity shop裡買便宜的小說，
開始成癮似地不斷地從圖書館借書，
還把馬田先生書架上的村上春樹通通翻出來讀。
夢境開始變成英國背景，對話夢話通通都用英文說。
漸漸的漸漸，自己才發現：
自己的改變原來比認為的多更多。

莎士比亞筆下的威尼斯商人享譽世界，這回，我們見識到的埃及商人，也是不惶多讓。埃及的貧富差距以及消費水準的差異很大，只要是有觀光客出沒的地方，價格都可以貴上個十倍左右。
舉個最極端的例子吧!
我們在埃及SSK機場出境前排隊買水時，前頭一個英國男生拿了一罐品客洋芋片(我們在英國機場出境時買到特價99P，台幣約六十元。一般零售價約1.49英鎊)及一罐運動飲料(一般英國零售賣價1.15英鎊，台幣約75元)要結帳，結果櫃員問他說：這兩樣要十英鎊(台幣六百多元)，你確定要買嗎?
這樣不可思議的價格，不管是賣的人或是買的人，都無法接受。男孩當場把東西擺回去，這樣的價格到底是誰訂的呢? 難不成是要賣給外星人嗎?
這樣的消費水準甚至高過阿姆斯特丹，以致於我們聽到很多人抱怨，這是他們去過所有機場中最貴的機場了!
撇開機場不談，我們所在的Sharm El Sheikh，有非常密集的觀光商店以及餐廳。幾乎所有的商店店員都會上街’拉客’，而他們拉客的手法是從寒暄開始，
公式一是：’Hi, where are you from?’ or ‘Hi, how are you doing?’ 或是’Hi, your wife looks like an Egyptian.’ 只要我們回答我們來自’Scotland’，大家幾乎都會接’Oh, William Wallace.’
然後就套入公式二：’May I ask you a question?’ 這個Question就有趣了，他可以是’Why so many English like to come here?’ 也可以是’I just start my own business, may I have your opinions about my business?’
埃及商人非常慇勤，可能是因為競爭壓力大，非常黏人，就像打不死的蟑螂，趕不走，又一群一群一直來。
他們從來不會放過任何經過的觀光客，他們都是先引起你的注意，然後攀談獲取你的好感或是利用’談話三分情’的心理，央求你到他們的商店或餐廳看看。很多人甚至表明自己跟英國的關係： 喜歡足球，來自曼徹斯特、在這裡投資商店，待過英國，等等等等。。。
人很’古意’的馬田先生，對於別人的招呼無法置之不理，
所以儘管已經一肚子火了，一路上還是很有禮貌地頻頻回答：
’I’m fine, thanks.’
’ I’m from Scotland. No, thanks, not just now.’
‘Not today, thank you.’
‘Maybe later, thank you.’
其實他心裡最想說的應該是 ’Fuck off, leave me alone!’吧?
米其就比較不被這些事情困擾，當一波一波的商人前仆後繼地湧上來時，
我都是擺出’外國皇后’的姿態，當聽不懂或當沒聽見，
然後態若自然地點頭微笑繼續往前走。

The night in Oia is rather charming.
After sunset, the yellow lights in the shops are all on, not too bright not too light; the romantic candle light and relaxing music from restaurants construct the little place a magical web.
Walking along the narrow stone roads between those white buildings, just feel like walking in the dream. I slow down and put my steps gently, don’t want to disturb the place bathing the smooth moonlight, don’t want to wake up from the lovely summer dream. What is romantic? There it is.
I finally managed to rent a scooter in the afternoon on my second day in Santorini. Riding a scooter to everywhere I wanted to go was really a freedom, because the bus seemed never come!
I wonder what you’re doing now, after a day’s hard work. Drinking Gin and tonic and playing your online game? Chatting to people from the game or go out for dinner with some friends?
I saw a lot of Asian people in this small island: Japanese, Taiwanese, Cantonese and Korean. Somehow I feel a bit funny to see people from Taiwan, so familiar. I just couldn’t go forward and say hi, although I did feel like to. I know it sounds silly, but I felt my tears come out of my eyes after heard one lady talking just like my mum. Fortunately, I had my sunglasses on.

Dear you:
Somehow I feel travelling alone is the most lonely thing to do in the world.
So much could happen and you could only taste by yourself, no one could really share how you’ve felt or what you’ve thought. What made you smile or what made you touched? So, I would like to write to you, very much, just not from e-mail.(In Oia, the internet service is quite expensive, and what I would like to say probably couldn’t finish in a short time.)
The story begins with a girl walking alone the seashore, more precisely, along the road by the cliff, trying to find out a sandy beach called ‘Paradise’. She walked and walked and walked. She had a clear mind, exactly knowing her destination.’35 mins walk’ the information says.
She walked, under the sun; along the cliff, she walked; from village to nothing, she walked; but all she could found is rocky beach down the cliff, and she walked.
After an hour, she felt tired, her toes swollen and the bags were heavy. ‘So, what on earth I really want to find?’ She wondered and confused. All she wanted was just a nice beach to relax, to enjoy sunshine, to read the book, could play a bit water also have a lovely view. That simple. She had so many choices, she didn’t know why she choose the most difficult one only because it sounds beautiful and a bit challenge?
Yes, dream is always nice and people tend to pursue the difficult ones and forget to cherish those easy ones, at least, she is that sort of people.
In front of the Village Paradise, three dogs barked at her like crazy at the same time, they seemed to say:’ Stranger, don’t come across.’
She tried, once, twice, but really couldn’t pass the dogs.
Fear, yes, she’s afraid of angry dogs, or say, she’s afraid that she couldn’t make it anyhow.
She gave up, walked back, another long journey.
A car passed by, but soon they parked after the corner. A lady got out, seemed enjoy the view, then she got in again, and the car pulled back.1 meter, 2 meters, 3 meters, the car pulled back until they met the girl.
The front window be scrolled down, at the same time, the girl looked inside, smiley. ‘Shall I take you?’ The driver asked, obviously not an English native speaker, but with a very kind heart and a beautiful wife who was smiling to the girl from the back seat.
They both heading the same destination, this time, she was not lonely, and more than that, the girl became helpful to give the young couple information about the destination.
’Travelling alone is not that bad.’ She thought, waved bye to the lovely couple, and continued her new journey to search another beach.
This time, no matter it’s just a beach between rocky and sandy, she decided to enjoy it, and she did. Very much.

9/21-9/26獨自到希臘的聖托里尼島(Santorini)旅行，住了北中南三個地方。
這邊做各簡單的紀錄跟評價：
又，我是www.Hostelworld.com的常客，所以除了Oia的住宿，
其他的住宿點都是在這網站訂的。
9/21-9/22住在東南方 Parissa Beach的Katerina And John Hotel,
8人mix dorm
每晚6.6歐元，含床單、枕頭(及套)、大浴巾及1 sheet (很多歐洲hostel都只提供sheet,因為很熱)
實際住的是四人女生房，有lockers,tables,chairs有小廚房及廁所/淋浴間。
還有游泳池，早七點到晚七點。
地點絕佳，門前就是巴士站、隔壁是租車行、網咖及超商，過條街走兩分鐘就是便宜的大超商，(ex. 在Fira買1L的瓶裝水要80cents-1歐,這裡只要44cents)24hour bakery shop,郵局跟提款機。
到Black sand beach從門前走過去不用五分鐘，房屋後就是通往Anicent Thira的路.
這一帶的住宿都提供機場接送(包括送機喔!)
住dorm的缺點就是室友如果很凌亂就真得很亂，因為空間不是很大。
我住的dorm顯得頗老舊，不過，這樣的價錢得到這樣的品質已經是非常好了!
日本人跟韓國人不少，不過他們都住雙人房，品質似乎比較好!價錢請參考網站。

9/23-9/24 住北方 Oia的 Youth Hostel Oia

每晚15歐元含早餐，本來分配在六人的女子宿舍，但因為我害怕睡上舖，所以改到Mix dorm，
有12床位，空間非常非常大(可以打排球了!)。提供床單及枕頭套，要sheet要額外1歐，pay once and use as long as you live there.
我在oia的晚上有點冷，許多人是帶了睡袋，秋冬要住的話要注意。
地點絕佳，就在巴士站旁邊，走路兩分鐘就到(不用拖著行李走地很辛苦)，在Hostel的屋頂陽台(用早餐的地方)就可以看到漂亮的海景，離Oia castle(大家看落日的地方)也很近，Hostel旁的路就是通往sunset那條比較安靜的路。整個Hostel非常漂亮(讓我有點驚訝)，以致於我一進門還沒check-in就先開始照相。也是壓護照，離開時付款領回。
我去的時候有一群香港年輕人，老闆安排他們住同一間宿舍，沒有跟其他人混住，相當貼心。
早餐含柳橙汁、咖啡或茶，三片麵包、奶油及兩種果醬，還有一片好吃的蛋糕。
9/25住 karterados (最靠近Fira的Village)的 Villa Manos，因為Hostelworld網友給的評價是100%.

我在hostelworld網站上是訂單人房一晚30歐，後來發現去他們自己的網站訂一晚只要25歐。
提供枕頭(套)、被單及毛毯、冷氣要另外付費，吹風機可以跟櫃檯借。(不過，太陽晒一下就乾了，也用不到!)
含機場接送，check-in及check-out時都有offer非常好的免費紅酒給我，老闆夫妻人好到不行，游泳池又大又漂亮(早上八點半到晚間九點半開放)。
雖然到Fira市區是’walk distant’，不過兩公里多，也要走個二十分鐘，我是租了機車，比較方便。
離巴士站跟加油站很近，不過，離超商或餐廳都有段距離。
我唯一要抱怨的是他們給了我一間靠馬路的房間(只有兩間靠馬路)，本以為是荒郊小徑，沒什麼車子經過，沒想到從早上四點就有車子開始經過(包括卡車，附近正在建Villa)，那邊剛好是山坡、很多希臘機車又沒有裝消音，城市住慣的人或許沒這問題，我住在安靜的郊區多年，整個就是很不習慣地睡不好。早知道應該要帶耳塞。。。
我住的地方，都是相對便宜的住宿，
這邊自己做紀錄也給在網路上找資料的人參考。
